So recently, I did some digging and found unclaimed funds in my name. However, one of my parents is the co-owner. Would I be able to claim it?
It does not provide anymore details and states it’s an undisclosed amount. I know as a child, my parent would tell me about a large sum of money that is supposed to be given to me. My main contention is that my parent and I no longer have a relationship. Would I still be able to claim it, or would they have to be involved?
Additionally, I’m not sure if this changes anything, but my parent does have a multi-million dollar judgement placed on them from years ago. If they’re co-owner and I claim it, would that money just go toward their judgement?
