Pepperstone, the Australia-headquartered forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker, has appointed Tom Williams as its new Chief Operating Officer. Meanwhile, Rob Bowen stepped down as the broker’s Group Chief Operating Officer and took over as Chief Commercial Officer.
Two Top Promotions to Senior Roles
Bowen has also been the Chief Executive of Pepperstone’s UK entity for more than six years, according to his LinkedIn profile. He stepped down from the Group COO role after holding it for more than five years.
Williams’s new appointment as COO also came as an internal promotion. He joined the broker’s Melbourne offices in August 2022 as the General Manager of Financial Risks, Analytics, and Operations.
Before Pepperstone, he spent nine years at Go Markets, first as the Head of Trading and then simultaneously as the Responsible Manager (AFSL) for his last three years there.
Bowen is another trading industry veteran with about 25 years of experience. He started his career as the Head of Derivatives Sales and Marketing, which included CFDs. Prior to joining Pepperstone, he spent almost a decade at IG Group, leaving as its Commercial Director.
Solid Profits from the UK Business
FinanceMagnates.com earlier reported that the UK entity of Pepperstone posted a £9.9 million profit on trading revenue of over £13 million, which declined by about 6.3 per cent.
Apart from the latest changes to senior roles, the broker also promoted Mariia Erokhina to General Manager of Information Security and Compliance, and appointed FP Markets’ Kim Reilly as Head of Client Experience.
Pepperstone is not the only broker to shuffle its top management. Recently, Hantec named a new Chief Commercial Officer, a Chief Strategy Officer, and a Chief Technology Officer. Middle East-based Equiti Group also named a new CTO, CFO, and a Risk Chief.
