Since I make self-improvement content, I end up consuming a lot more than what I actually create. And after seeing just how much content exists online, here’s what dawned on me.
Advice is the most abundant resource in modern business.
Followed closely by scams and 22-year-old podcasters teaching you how to retire at 30.
And make no mistake, they can be very persuasive.
They can easily make you nitpick every inconvenience of a full-time job and use it as a backdrop to over-glorify the perks of entrepreneurship.
Should you take them at their word? Probably not.
That’s because these same guys would try to convince you to drink soup with a fork if a sponsor paid them enough to call it “mindful eating.”
And what if you follow them as blindly as they want you to?
