IDnow, a Munich-based provider of identity verification technology, has announced the appointment of three new members to its executive team and one board advisor, supporting its ongoing international expansion and focus on AI-based identity solutions.

Andreas Maueröder joins as Chief Financial Officer, Daniel Keller as Chief Product and Technology Officer, and Phil Allen as Chief Commercial Officer. Cassio Sampaio has been appointed as a board advisor.

Together, they bring experience in finance, cybersecurity, identity technology and business transformation.

These appointments reflect IDnow’s aim to build a scalable and intelligent trust platform for businesses operating in increasingly complex digital environments.

Andreas Maueröder brings over 20 years of financial and leadership experience.

He has worked at EY, PwC and the Schörghuber Group, before joining zooplus in 2010 where he later became CFO.

He has experience in operational efficiency, value creation and team building across both private equity and publicly listed companies.

Daniel Keller has held senior roles at Microsoft, Axel Springer, Scout24, Visable and most recently Onfido.

He has worked on using AI and machine learning to develop scalable technology platforms and has led business and product transformation efforts.

Phil Allen has over 25 years of experience in digital identity, cybersecurity and fraud prevention.

He has held positions at Transmit Security, CA Technologies and BMC Software, and led growth in the EMEA region as Vice President at Ping Identity.

He has worked on scaling cloud-based, customer-focused solutions.

IDnow CEO, Andreas Bodczek said:

Andreas Bodczek

“Our mission to build a future proof digital identity ecosystem requires bold and skilled leadership. We are at a moment where we are moving beyond identity verification and enabling intelligent trust at every step of the customer journey. That is why I am pleased to welcome Andreas, Daniel, Phil and Cassio. Each brings experience that will support IDnow in shaping the next chapter of digital identity based on trust, security and continuous innovation.”

Cassio Sampaio joins the board as an advisor.

He is the former Chief Product Officer at Auth0, now part of Okta, and has held leadership roles at Apple and DigitalOcean.

He has experience in product development, identity platforms and global scaling of SaaS companies.

Earlier this year, IDnow presented a revised vision for digital identity, focused on embedding trust into every digital interaction.

The company is moving beyond single-point identity checks to support trust management throughout the customer lifecycle.

As fraud becomes more sophisticated and regulatory demands grow, businesses require tools that extend beyond basic Know Your Customer checks.

IDnow offers real time risk detection across multiple customer touchpoints, aiming to make identity management a strategic function rather than a compliance exercise.

Founded in 2014, IDnow operates in the European identity technology sector.

Its tools are used to simplify risk processes, reduce regulatory complexity and improve user experience.

With its updated direction, the company seeks to address evolving risks in the global digital economy.
