The war between our long-term and short-term
It is easy to find entrepreneurs with a big dream.
It is also easy to find disgruntled entrepreneurs. They are within an arm’s reach, digital or physical.
Let’s see whether you find these soundbites familiar.
“I will crush all competition when my AI-supercharged-backend-infrastructure is ready.”
“I have no interest in making small money. I am focused on exponential growth.”
“I believe in owning my audience and collecting emails. Money comes later.”
I hear these aspirational and adrenaline-driven statements many, many times. Yes, our eyes are focused on our envisioned long-term success. And yes, we must shoot for the stars.
But too many aspirational entrepreneurs I know forget this natural law that cannot be annihilated by their sheer persistence or drowned in pools of sweat and blood.
We are always living within the box of today.
And tomorrow is always coming… but it never does.
