Hi Freedom Money Enthusiasts
After years of stacking sats, I finally took the leap and became a part of the Bitcoin blockchain by running my own full node! I built it myself using a Raspberry Pi 5, and the whole setup process was both fun and rewarding. It feels great knowing my node is contributing to the security of the network by validating blocks.
Here are the parts I used:
Raspberry Pi 5 8 GB Original 27W Power Supply WD Black SN770 2 TB SSD SanDisk 64 GB microSDXC Argon ONE V5 M.2 NVMe Case Argon ONE V5 Display
The total cost was around $350, though I'm sure it could be done cheaper if you're on a tighter budget. I am really happy how it turned out.
Next I want to get a Bitaxe Gamma or a similar lottery miner which I will then connect to my node. Maybe I will try to build that one myself, too.
Happy Friday
