Breda-based technology company aizy, specialising in AI-driven online marketing software, has announced today it has raised €1.5 million in growth capital to accelerate the development of its software, which helps SMEs improve their online marketing results while spending less time managing campaigns.

The €1.5 million growth capital round builds on early-stage backing from tech investor Michiel Mol, with Gijs Nagel and Joost van der Klooster joining as new investors for this next phase, alongside incoming Marketing & Technology Director Niels Buijs, who is also taking an equity stake.

“This €1.5 million funding marks a major milestone for Aizy. It allows us to accelerate the development of our AI-driven marketing platform, scale our team, and expand internationally. Our mission is to make world-class marketing automation accessible to every SME – and this investment brings us a big step closer to that goal,” Founder Stefan Nuijten shared with EU-Startups.

Founded in 2024 by entrepreneur Stefan Nuijten, aizy’s AI tools enable SMEs to automate and optimise their online marketing on platforms such as Google, Facebook, and Instagram using AI combined with the expertise of aizy’s specialists. This allegedly increases the return on their online marketing budgets, while allowing business owners to focus on growing their companies.

aizy has been funded through initial investments by founder Stefan Nuijten and tech investor Michiel Mol (Founder of marketing company Lost Boys), who had already committed to the fast-growing company. The startup now has eleven employees and, within its first six months, reportedly reached the milestone of €1 million in ARR.

Within a month, twelve investors expressed interest in aizy. Following careful consideration, the company is welcoming Gijs Nagel (Founder of the platform DEGIRO) and Joost van der Klooster as new investors.

Gijs Nagel explains: “The combination of aizy’s user-friendly AI tools and human expertise really appealed to me – I knew I wanted to be part of it.”

Nuijten adds: “aizy is well ahead of forecast, and our product-market fit is proven. With the €1.5 million in growth capital, we are going to further advance our AI marketing software in a serious way – making it even smarter and more accessible for thousands of SMEs worldwide who find online marketing complex.”

Niels Buijs, currently responsible for global marketing at software giant CM.com, will join aizy on October 1 as Marketing & Technology Director. Buijs brings over fifteen years of experience in global marketing and go-to-market strategies, and will focus on driving aizy’s international expansion. Reflecting his enthusiasm and confidence in the company, he will also take an equity stake.

Buijs adds: “The rise of AI is dramatically transforming the online marketing landscape, and aizy’s service and pace of innovation are unique in this market. With the experience I’ve gained at companies such as Exact and CM.com, I’m eager to help build on aizy’s rapid growth.”
