Hi Im undergoing a bit of an issue I recently changed companies which as such resulted in the company that provided my 401k changing to a new provider (vanguard)I created an account and all was well. I requested to roll over from my previous 401k (paychecks) which was approved and the previous provider sent out the checks made transferable to the new provider. While this was happening the my company rolled over tia new provider and automatically transfered the account details from the company’s previous provider (vanguard) to the new provider (empower) all of which occured prior to the checks arriving in the mail. I have recently recieved the checks but as I no longer have a vanguard account and instead have a empower account and the paychecks account shows no money I was wondering what I should do do I still send the checks to vanguard and then attempt to roll them over? Do I not do anything with the checks or something else it’s a considerable chunk of change so I am really looking for answers any help and advice is greatly appreciated.
