To celebrate Mother’s Day, we wanted to showcase some of our amazing teams led by none other than Mom.

Ford Fountain Team

With over 50+ years of combined real estate experience, the Ford Fountain Team prides themselves on longevity in the industry and South Metro Denver. Delivering unparalleled service to each individual and creating long-term relationships are top priorities.

Q: How did the idea to work together come about?

Kathryn: In 2009, I decided to explore real estate on my own. I wanted to carve out my own approach and build experience independently, which I did for a decade. But when I found out I was pregnant, it sparked a deeper conversation between us—about family, career, and what we both truly wanted long-term. It turned out we wanted many of the same things. It felt natural, even inevitable, to officially join forces. So maybe it was my idea, but it was also just the right time.

Q: What was your relationship like before going into business together, and how has it changed?

Wanda: We were always close. We made time for mother-daughter trips and had a really strong bond prior to teaming up. Now that we’re in business together, we’ve had to figure out how to separate our personal and professional lives—and respect each other in both spaces. It’s been one of the most rewarding parts of our story.

JoyFel Real Estate Duo

Felicia Jenkins and her mom Joyce Paloma pride themselves on providing first-rate service to their clients, making it a top priority. With a commitment to professionalism, their expertise as a mother/daughter team helps them represent each of their clients’ best interests.

Q: How did you get started in real estate?

Felicia: I got started in real estate because of none other than my mother! She had just switched brokerages to Fuller Town and Country, which soon became Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty [and was rebranded in 2008 as LIV Sotheby’s International Realty.] I was in my mid-20s and between careers when Joyce mentioned that her new brokerage was hiring staff positions. I jumped on board and made my way from the reception desk to marketing to a personal assistant. After a couple of years with the company, Joyce asked me if I’d like to team up with her. So, I got my license in 2012, and the rest is history. It’s been one of the greatest blessings in my life to work with my mom; a time I’ll cherish forever.

Stucy Group

Elaine Stucy and her daughters, Karina Stevens and Joy Nowakowski, have joined forces to create a lasting legacy within the real estate industry and the Sotheby’s International Realty brand. Elaine’s longevity in the industry and passion for her clients, coupled with her daughters’ perspective and vision for the future, make this a varsity team.

Q: How did you decide to go into business with your mom?

Karina: There is nothing like working with your mom. You’ll never be more challenged, more protected, more pushed, more safe, more afraid (ha!), and more of a team. Nobody pushes you or loves you or defends you or throws you in the deep end like her. You think you know someone, but being together in a work environment takes it to a new level. I thought I knew how extraordinary she was…and then I saw her serve others, and – wow – push herself to grow. She sets a tone. A standard of excellence and growth. And I’m on board!

After 7 years in a pharmaceutical laboratory, I felt the pull toward a more relational vocation. It certainly wasn’t for the love of “seeing houses” that I opted for real estate, but for a chance to do something that felt like a better fit and to work with my mom. And 21 years later, I’m so glad I did.

Q: Are there any marketing or technology strategies you disagree on due to generational differences?

Joy: While we’re all fully on board with using technology to elevate our business, we occasionally approach it from different angles. Elaine is thoughtful and deliberate, often prioritizing tools and strategies that enhance client relationships and uphold the high-touch service she’s built her career on. I tend to be more experimental, eager to explore emerging platforms and automated systems that can streamline processes and expand our reach. These differing perspectives lead to thoughtful conversations—and often, better solutions. What never differs is our shared commitment to professionalism. We’re aligned in the belief that our marketing strategies must first and foremost serve our clients, not just follow trends. By blending innovation with experience, we craft an approach that is both forward-thinking and grounded in trust.

Q: Where do you see your team in the next 5–10 years?

Elaine: It is an amazing privilege to be in business with my daughters. I was a single mom in their early years, and they got to come to work with me (I worked, they played). It seems like we always blended work and life. They came into real estate with successful backgrounds in other endeavors, so the work ethic and people skills were already in place.

My dream is for them to decide where they want to take our team and to enjoy that it might look different than I imagine. It will still be a high-producing practice of excellence where we put our clients’ interests first and continue to pursue “better” over “more.”  The Sotheby’s mystique is ingrained in us, so the idea of carrying with the brand is part of the legacy.

The Sheldon Team

A mother and son team, their knowledge of the luxury market, combined with their broad geographical reach, covering Denver through El Paso County, they are analytical and consultative, persuasive, and passionate. Cindy and Kyle work together to offer clients a team that can expertly handle every part of a real estate transaction, regardless of size, type, or complexity.

Q: How do your generational perspectives influence your approach to real estate?

Kyle: As a Xennial, my approach to real estate is shaped by what matters most to my generation—authentic connection, smart technology, and homes that support the way we actually live. I care about helping people find spaces that reflect their values, whether that means a walkable neighborhood, room for a home office, or energy-efficient features. I believe in being transparent, responsive, and real—because buying or selling a home isn’t just a transaction, it’s a major life moment!

Cindy brings a strong foundation of experience, trust, and long-term value to every transaction. She believes in doing things the right way—through personal relationships, thoughtful planning, and clear communication. With a focus on helping clients make informed, confident decisions, whether they’re downsizing, investing, or finding a forever home. For her, real estate is about building lasting connections and delivering results with integrity.

Q: If you weren’t in real estate, what would each of you be doing?

Cindy: I’d probably be retired by now, but I stay in it because I genuinely love the connections I’ve built and the joy that comes from guiding clients through such meaningful milestones.

As for Kyle, with his entrepreneurial mindset, he’d no doubt be growing another business. He’s always exploring new ideas, learning new skills, and weaving that innovation back into everything we do in real estate.
