25 people in France have been charged in connection with a series of failed kidnapping attempts, according to a May 31 report by Le Monde.
The group includes six minors, all between the ages of 16 and 23, according to a statement from the Paris prosecutor on May 31.
The suspects are believed to have targeted several figures in the cryptocurrency industry, including the family of Pierre Noizat, the head of French crypto exchange Paymium. His daughter, her husband, and their child were attacked on May 13 in Paris.

The attackers wore masks, and video of the assault spread online, particularly on X. The victims were injured but received treatment and were later released from the hospital.
Eighteen of the suspects are currently in custody while awaiting trial. Three others have requested delayed hearings, and four are being monitored under judicial supervision.
Police stated that those arrested handled tasks like planning, logistics, and direct involvement in the assaults. The people believed to have organized the attacks have not yet been found.
The suspects come from different parts of France and abroad, including Senegal, Angola, and Russia. Some lawyers described their clients as “young profiles lured by money and caught in a situation beyond their control”.
