Stated above I am 22 with 0 money in my savings and roughly around 1.8k in my checking account currently with $800 due on my credit card and a $16k auto loan.
I make fairly decent money for my age (around $2200 every two weeks) so $52,800 a year if my maths correct and i am currently enrolled into a TSP but I can never make money stick around from my normal pay.
My expenses are usually at a roughly $1500 a month with rent and attempting to put as much money as I can towards my car payment. But i always find my self having to transfer money to my checking from my savings later in the month or eventually end up utilizing my credit card acquiring even more debt.
I guess the only thing i am asking for on here is for advice ? Is it a discipline issue not being able to retain money in my savings I do eat out more frequently than making meals at home since I live alone at 22 and have never been a good cook or is there anything explicitly wrong that I’m doing to try and save for the future.
